Message: Torque saturation error.
Detection
On startup or normal operation of the system.
Cause
The possible causes are:
- The motor has locked up and it could not turn freely. • With very high torque the turning speed has not exceeded the overload conditions. In a DDS system, GP8 for a time longer than GP7. In a Quercus system, OVERLOADTHRESHOLD for a time longer than OVERLOADTL.
Solution
The possible solutions are:
- Verify that two phases have not been swapped and that the power cables make good contact.
- Check that the feedback cable is not defective and the pin-to-pin connection is correct (especially if the user has made the cable).
- Release the servo drive and, if the error is repeated for no reason, check the motor parameterization under overload conditions. For a DDS system, increase the values of GP7 and/or GP8; to clear the error, set GP7=0. For a Quercus system, check the OVERLOADTL and OVERLOADTHRESHOLD parameters.
- Check the parameterization of the motor feedback resolution (with non-Fagor motors). For a DDS system (X4 connector), check that the value of NP116 is correct. For a Quercus system, check the NPULSES and LINEAR_PITCH parameters.
- In a DDS system, check the value of RV3 (or RP5 if resolver is available).
