Fagor Automation at IMTS exhibition

Fagor Automation will participate at IMTS , International Manufacturing Technology Show from the 10th to 15th of September in Chicago. More than 82,000 industrial decision-makers will be attending this show. The company will be displaying its novelties in technology in their 220m2 booth.

One of the novelties, designed specifically with the Aerospace market in mind, the CNC 8065 is equipped with proprietary Advanced features required for high speed machining, yet maintaining the best machining surface finish while providing maximum accuracy.

The On-board Bode diagram tool allows the measurement of the machines frequency response, thus allowing the possibility to actually filter the machine vibrations incurred by the various operating conditions and environment. The Auto-tuning feature is used for automatic adjustment of machine axes to obtain optimum and smooth performance. For complex and demanding machining environment this function may be further complimented with the features mentioned earlier.

In addition, the CNC 8065 ability includes block processing time under 0.5 ms while analyzing the tool path with advanced high speed look-ahead using nano-metric resolution. This combined with Fagor’s Adaptive Real-time Feed & Speed control (ARFS) the CNC analyzes the machining conditions such as Spindle load, servo power, tool tip temperature, etc. and adapts both the axis feedrate and the spindle speed for maximum machining performance and productivity.

At the exhibition, will also present its new linear encoder, unique on the market, whose reading head is removable from either end, without removing the tape. The new generation of steel-tape linear encoder offers features unique to the sector that translate into more profit for both the manufacturer and the end-user of the machine.

Fagor Automation’s know-how has been essential in the development of this unique tensioning system which makes the insertion of the graduated tape of the linear encoders much easier; in this way, the mounting process on the machine enables the reading head to be inserted and removed from both sides with the graduated tape tight which means significant savings for customers in the mounting process, reducing machine downtime by up to 50% in after sales service.
