Besides the advantages already known of Fagor’s high speed cutting, their CNC’s have made possible to remotely control the Laser systems and improve the features and competitiveness of their machines.
Recently, the cooperation between the two companies has led to the development of the “grid cutting” feature for the CNC 8070. This feature is a machining strategy that significantly improves machine productivity when making many small parts from a single sheet of metal. During the cutting of the parts, the spindle moves at high speed over the sheet while the Laser beam turns on and off.
For example, the SLCF-XL combines cantilever type flying optics laser cutting machine with small worktable and gantry type machine-mounted cutting machine, which makes the processing range wider. It is usually applied in large sheet metal cutting and can be used in ship building, bridges and other industries.
