CHETO (Create High-Efficiency Technology Obligations), a Portuguese manufacturer of CNC deep hole drilling and milling machines, relies on Fagor Automation for its performance.
In addition to its international recognition for deep drilling, the company produces a range of multi-function machining centers combining milling, deep and radial drilling, and tapping and boring technology.
CHETO‘s best-known multifunction model is the IXN, equipped with CNC, Quercus system, and Fagor Automation Series 3 encoders.
Reliability and ease of use with Fagor
CHETO has chosen Fagor for its performance because of its attractive interface of the Quercus system and the perfect union of the CNCs with the developments that the company wants to implement in its machines, and the efficiency of the new Series 3 feedback systems.
Carlos Teixeira, CEO of the CHETO, emphasizes the reliability and ease of use of Fagor Automation products. But in addition, an added value for Cheto over Fagor is that the technical support service has always been the best and stands out from the competition for its responsiveness and high technical knowledge.
Cheto’s beginnings
The company was founded in 2009 in Loureiro Oaz, and today its hallmark is to stick as closely as possible to the market’s demands and offer optimized processes with machines that perform several operations simultaneously. The sector in which the company works has critical and time-consuming processes, as it is an area of “many problems and few solutions,” says Teixeira.
The new innovations led to the patenting of an ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) for the automatic change of Gun Drills (deep hole drilling) in 2018. Thanks to the company’s new system, the machine operator can automatically change the deep-hole drilling tools. In addition, he can also automatically adjust the process mode from deep-hole drilling to milling.
