In addition, they comply with the relevant electronic equipment standards for functional safety <strong>IEC 61508:2010<\/strong> and the latest encoder-specific standards <strong>IEC 61800-5-3:2021<\/strong>. Fagor Automation has been audited and certified by <strong>T\u00dcV S\u00dcD<\/strong> during the entire development process.<\/p>\n<p>All <strong>hardware<\/strong>, <strong>optics,<\/strong> and <strong>software<\/strong> of the Fagor Automation G3, S3, and SV3 Series3 family have been redesigned with safety-related requirements in mind.<\/p>\n<p>Fagor Automation&#8217;s objective is to guarantee <strong>maximum performance<\/strong> and <strong>maximum safety<\/strong> for the machine operator in all potentially dangerous circumstances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New optical technology<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The hardware has been designed to manage position data redundantly. To this end, <a href=\"https:\/\/www-dev.fagorautomation.com\/en\/\"><strong>Fagor Automation<\/strong><\/a> has implemented a new patented optical technology that is capable of simultaneously acquiring redundant absolute position information. This information makes the start-up of the encoder more secure.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Exceptional performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Series3 family includes the successful <a href=\"https:\/\/www-dev.fagorautomation.com\/en\/feedback-systems\/3statech\/\"><strong>3STATECH<\/strong><\/a> technology. This technology provides <strong>exceptional performance<\/strong> against contamination and the harshest environments.<\/p>\n<p>Unlike traditional absolute encoders, the Series3 family is able to detect <strong>&#8220;no good&#8221; data<\/strong> by means of third-state information. In addition, the new optics are able to read more portions of the <strong>binary code<\/strong> than is actually necessary to correctly calculate the absolute position.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Increased robustness<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fagor Automation&#8217;s unique technology makes a big difference in terms of <strong>robustness<\/strong> against contaminants, especially oil vapors that often accumulate after a period of inactivity.<\/p>\n<p>As far as incremental signals are concerned, Fagor Automation uses a new ASIC in the safety encoders.
