We know what a lot of you are thinking, what does the world of Motorcycle Racing have to do with the world of manufacturing? One thing is for sure, both are fiercely competitive and immensely rewarding. For the uniquely challenging 2020 season, Fagor Automation Corp. sponsored one of the biggest names in the competitive motorcycle history, World Champion Toni Elías.
Elias is one of the fiercest racers in the international league, capable of pulling off expert maneuvers weaving through other racers and sharp corners. He earned the title of World Champion in Moto2 in 2010, he is currently competing with the M4 Ecstar Suzuki team in the AMA Superbike Championship, also called MotoAmerica, in which he was champion in 2017.
This was a unique season with so many races canceled due to the global pandemic, however Toni Elias still succeeded in placing 4th this year in MotoAmerica Superbike. We would like to congratulate Toni for his performance in this very atypical season. His perseverance despite the many challenges of the 2020 championship has inspired us to work even harder as a company for 2021. In 2021, we plan to continue supporting Toni Elias in the projects he chooses to participate in.
Above all, we would also like to thank him for the opportunity he has given us to collaborate. We had the privilege to host Toni for a visit to our Fagor Automation headquarters in Basque Country. During his visit, Toni was able to learn about the manufacturing process for our Feedback products and Control Systems firsthand, and operate a CNC router for the first time!
