HMI Configuration
Learn how to customize the interface by using the HMI configurator.
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "System" section or press the [F1] softkey.
In "System", in the "Language" section, there is a dropdown with all the available languages.
Select the desired language and save the changes made by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
There is a softkey that allows you to change the unit display between millimeters and inches. This softkey is shown in the "Jog" and "Execute" work pages.
- If the page displays the data in millimeters, the [Switch to inches] softkey will be displayed.
- If the page displays the data in inches, the [Switch to mm] softkey will be displayed.
The change units softkey can be hidden or visible. To show/hide the softkey follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "System" section or press the [F1] softkey.
Under "System", in the "System units" section, enable or disable the option "Show mm/inch display selection softkey" using the button and save the changes made by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
The CNC allows executing a part-program from any work page by pressing the [START] key.
To avoid unwanted executions from the "Edit" and "Jog" pages, it is possible to enable the option of double [START] to validate. In this way, after pressing the [START] key, the CNC will request to press [START] again to carry out the execution.
After pressing the [START] key, the CNC displays the following message: "START has been pressed for program execution. Press START again to continue":
The change units softkey can be hidden or visible. To show/hide the softkey follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "System" section or press the [F1] softkey.
Under "System", in the "System units" section, enable or disable the option "Show mm/inch display selection softkey" using the button and save the changes made by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
To change the position of the vertical softkey menu, follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
In "Appearance", in the "Vertical menu" section, there is a dropdown with the two available options (Left and Right).
Select the desired option and save the changes made by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
The CNC allows viewing, both on the "Jog" page and on the "Execute" page, the position in which the tool changes are made. The tool change position window is displayed on the right side of the page, when the "Machining conditions" visualizing option is active.
To show/hide the tool change position window follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
Under "Appearance", in the "Visible windows" section, activate or deactivate the "Tool change" option using the button and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
Activate the "Machining conditions" window from the "Jog" or "Execute" page, by pressing the [Visualize] softkey or [F11] and selecting [Machining Conditions].

When the CNC shows a warning or an error, it can show it in a minimized window or in a maximized window. From the "HMI Configuration" page you can configure whether you want to display the warnings and errors by default, minimized or maximized.
Change the default value
To enable or disable the minimized notice window option, follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
Under "Appearance", in the "Visible windows" section, activate or deactivate the "Tool change" option using the button and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
Set the size and position of the warning and error window by default
To change the size and position of the warning and error window, follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
In "Appearance", in the "Warnings and errors window" section, fill in the following sections with the desired values and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new changes ] softkey or [F12].
There are two ways to change the size and position of the window, one is manually, using the mouse, and the other one is through the HMI configurator.
Manually change the size and position of the window
To manually change the size and position of the screen, follow these steps:
Hold down the mouse on the red square at the top left of the screen for three seconds.
The message "Drag me" will be desplayed, indicating that the window is unlocked.
Resize the window by dragging the corners and edges.
Scroll or reposition the window by dragging with the mouse from the "Drag me" message.
Lock the window at the defined position and size by clicking on the padlock displayed next to the "Drag me" message.
Change the size and position of the window through the HMI configurator
To change the size and position of the window using the HMI configurator, follow these steps:
Hold down the mouse on the red square at the top left of the screen for three seconds.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
In "Appearance", in the "Interface" section, there is a dropdown with all the available window resolutions.
Select one of the fixed options (10", 15", 19", 21" Landscape, 21" Portrait) and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
If the "Custom" option is selected, the options for "Window width", "Window height", "X coordinate of the top left corner" and "Y coordinate of the top left corner" will appear. Enter the desired values and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
Two virtual panels are available, one horizontal and one vertical, which can be displayed and configured from the "HMI Configuration" page.
How to display the virtual panels
To display the virtual panels, press [Alt] + [K] keys or follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
Under "Virtual Panels", there is a menu to configure Virtual Panel 1 and another one to configure Virtual Panel 2. Activate or deactivate the option "Show virtual panel " of the desired panel (Virtual Panel 1 or Virtual Panel 2) using the button and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].

How to select the format of the virtual panel
Any of the virtual panels (horizontal and vertical) can be configured in one of the following formats:
Virtual Jog panel.
Virtual keyboard
Virtual jog panel and virtual keyboard. It allows you to change from one format to the other one by clicking the box in the top left corner.
To select the desired format, follow these steps:
From any page, access the main menu by clicking the red box in the top left corner.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Appearance" section or press the [F2] softkey.
Inside "Virtual Panels", in the "Virtual panel type" section of each of the virtual panels, there is a drop-down menu with the three available options.
Select the desired format and save the changes made by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
How to change the size and position of virtual panels
There are two ways to change the size and position of the virtual panels, one is manually, using the mouse, and the other one is through the HMI configurator.
Manual change
To manually resize and position virtual panels, follow these steps:
Hold down the mouse on the top of the virtual panel for three seconds.
The message "Drag me" will be displayed, indicating that the virtual panel is unlocked.
Resize the virtual panel by dragging the corners and edges.
Scroll or reposition the virtual panel by dragging with the mouse from the "Drag me" message.
Lock the virtual panel at the defined position and size by clicking on the padlock displayed next to the "Drag me" message.
Change through the HMI configurator
To change the size and position of the virtual panels using the HMI configurator, follow these steps:

Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Once inside the HMI configurator, select the "Virtual Panels" section or press the [F3] softkey.
Under "Virtual Panels", in each of the virtual panel, enter the desired values and save the changes by pressing the [Apply new settings] softkey or [F12].
- - Virtual panel 1 (vertical).
- - Virtual panel 2 (horizontal).
The CNC allows you to configure the cycles depending on the type of machine that is being used (milling machine or lathe). From the "Cycles" section of the "HMI Configuration" screen it will be possible to configure the different cycle options.
To configure the cycles, follow these steps:
Access the main menu by pressing the red square on the top left.
Press the [HMI Configuration] button, belonging to the "Utilities" section, or the softkeys [F10] and then [F6].
Within "Cycles" there are several sections to configure the cycles for both Milling and Lathe machines. Set the desired options for each section.
General milling cycles configuration
Allows you to activate/deactivate the options "Additional M functions that mey be associated with a cycle", "Approach distance in Z axix machining" and "Next tool to get ready after the cycle".
Milling cycles axis configuration
Allows you to select the following axes: "Abscissa", "Ordinate" and "Perpendicular axis" for milling cycles. In the lathe model, the ordinate axis is not a valid axis.
General lathe cycles configuration
Allows you to activate/deactivate the "Additional M functions that may be associated with a cycle", "Vertical lathe" and "Invert initial and final points in face threading" options.
Lathe cycles axis configuration
Allows you to select the following axes: "Face axis", "Longitudinal axis" and "Ordinate axis" for the lathe cycles. In the lathe model, the ordinate axis is not a valid axis.
Save changes
Once everything is configured, save the changes made by pressing the [Apply changes] softkey or [F12].
